Help us run our inclusive play sessions for autistic and ADHD children in Acton.
All Aboard Club provides inclusive play sessions for autistic and ADHD children, where they can build and play with our huge train sets and develop their social and communication skills. We have been running play sessions in London and the South East for 6 years, supporting over 400 families. We're looking for volunteers to help run our weekend play sessions in Acton on weekends. Our play sessions are based around our huge train sets, which the children can build and play with. Our volunteer team help to set up the session by building the train tracks across the floor of the hall and putting out chairs for the parents. When the families arrive, we leave the children to play together but always keep an eye on their activities. The children help to tidy up at the end of the 1.5 hour session. Our volunteer team then help to put everything away and leave the venue clean and tidy.
Our volunteers can valuable experience, working with autistic and ADHD children, and understanding the challenges which they face. It's great to see
1 hour to set up the play session, 1.5hrs during the session and up to 30 minutes to pack away at the end (3 HOURS TOTAL).
