As a Kitchen Assistant and Group Volunteer at Croydon Vision, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission by assisting in the operations of our kitchen from Monday to Thursday, between 9:30 am and 15:00 pm.
As a Kitchen Assistant and Group Volunteer at Croydon Vision, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission by assisting in the operations of our kitchen from Monday to Thursday, between 9:30 am and 15:00 pm. Your efforts will directly impact the well-being and independence of blind and partially blind individuals in our community. You will also be requested to help with tea and coffee preparations and serving them as needed to our members. At times, you may be asked to perform duties such as helping a member find their way or lead them to different groups amongst other requirements. We also request our volunteers to participate in regular meetings and feedback sessions.

Basic cooking and food preparation skills (previous kitchen experience is a plus but not required). Excellent hygiene practices and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Ability to work well in a team and take direction from the kitchen manager and cook. Punctuality and reliability in fulfilling your volunteer commitments.
